About SID Bank

SID Bank (SID – Slovenska izvozna in razvojna banka) was established in 1992 as Slovene Export Corporation (Slovenska izvozna družba, d.d., Ljubljana) with the aim of providing insurance and financing of export for Slovene companies. Since then we have grown and evolved in step with development of Slovene economy. SID Bank is the parent company of SID Bank Group, which provides its customers a wide range of services for promotion of competitiveness in international business cooperation.

The mission of SID Bank is: »We develop, provide and promote long-term financial services designed to supplement financial markets for the sustainable development of Slovenia.«

The vision of SID Bank is to become the central Slovene public financial institution, and through its integral supply of services complementary to financial market to be an important growth factor of Slovene economy. We promote seizing of opportunities in international economic and development cooperation for Slovene economy with instruments of long-term financing and insurance.

Our primary orientation is to be complementary to the financial market (in the areas not covered by the financial market, and which have a development component). In the area of existing activities (mainly insurance and financing of non-marketable risks) our objective is quality meeting of the needs of our customers (response to market needs). We actively promote some of the segments (branches of industry and markets) in which Slovenia has competitive advantages (in compliance with Development Strategy of Slovenia).
