Godina and Inkaing

The company Godina from Hrpelje near Kozina is a family-owned construction company with a 35-year tradition in executing municipal and transport infrastructure projects, as well as commercial and residential buildings. The company Inkaing from Ljubljana was founded in 2011 by experienced builders from the former construction company SCT. It specializes in the most demanding civil engineering and environmental projects.

 

The project is divided into seven sections. Godina, together with Inkaing, is the contractor for the first section, which includes the construction of water supply systems and transport collectors, as well as the optimization of the existing system in the Rijeka West area. Godina is also the sole contractor for the fifth section, which covers the construction of municipal infrastructure in the Viškovo area. The project will have positive environmental impacts, as the water supply system and municipal infrastructure across the wider Rijeka municipality will be renovated, significantly reducing the potential threat of water and environmental pollution in the area.

 

The public tender conditions required contractors to provide guarantees for advance repayment and performance guarantees. Banks involved in the transaction were willing to issue these guarantees only if covered by insurance through a SID policy. SID Bank thus issued multiple insurance policies to cover the guarantees, protecting the banks against claims on the guarantees for any reason, as well as protecting the exporter against non-commercial risks and the risk of unjustified guarantee claims.
