As a development and export bank, SID Banka acts in the public interest. When financing and insuring transactions, it takes into account the long-term effects on society, the environment and the economy.
Responsible Finance
SID Bank finances projects that contribute to sustainable growth, greater competitiveness of enterprises and stable development of the economy. We pay special attention to: green and environmental projects, energy efficiency and renewables; development of innovations and technologies, support for small and medium-sized enterprises; a project with long-term societal impacts.
Environmental responsibility
When assessing projects, we systematically take into account environmental impacts. We encourage investments that reduce the burden on the environment and contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Bank's operations follow national and international environmental standards and sustainable development guidelines.
Social role
With our products and activities, we contribute to: preserving and creating jobs; regional development; development of knowledge and competences, greater financial stability of businesses and the public sector. We also participate in projects that strengthen the resilience of the economy in times of uncertainty.

Reports on the implementation of social responsibility
Until 2020, we published a Corporate Social Responsibility Report once a year. In 2021, we upgraded these Slovenian reports with the Sustainability Report
SID Banka's Approach to the Allocation of Sponsorship and Donor Funds
SID banka takes into account the Recommendations and expectations of the Slovenian State Holding in both sponsorships and donations, and thus also the principles of transparency, economy, efficiency and effectiveness.
In doing so, we also take into account the principle of proportionality, the principle of objective justification of sponsorship in relation to the expected benefits of the bank and the principle of sufficient diversification.
