The year 2025 represented a period of important strategic decisions for SID Bank and the strengthening of its development role in the Slovenian economy. The 2025 Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of the Bank’s operations in an environment of increased uncertainty, as well as its achievements in financing, equity investments, and the management of European funds.
The SID Bank Group closed the year with a net profit of EUR 3.7 million, while total assets amounted to EUR 2.5 billion at year-end. Despite a slightly lower volume of the loan portfolio, new loan disbursements exceeded those of the previous year, and the Bank continued to actively support companies and projects with clear long-term development potential. An important strategic milestone was the establishment of two new subsidiaries – SID Kapital and SID Asset Management – as a result of which the Group prepared consolidated financial statements in 2025 for the first time since 2018.
The year was also marked by a strengthened role of SID Bank as a key partner of the state in the areas of financial engineering and the management of European funds. A financing agreement for the FI 2021–2027 Holding Fund was signed, with total contributions of EUR 190 million to be paid in by 2029, and foundations were laid for the implementation of five new financial instruments. The Bank also continued its activities aimed at strengthening the domestic capital market and successfully carried out the issuance of a EUR 100 million bond and a EUR 30 million debt certificate, further contributing to funding stability.
SID Bank’s business performance and reputation were further confirmed in June 2025 by the credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s, which assigned the Bank the highest credit rating in its history – AA/A‑1+ with stable outlook. Significant achievements were also recorded in the areas of digitalisation, cyber security and employee well-being, which remain at the core of the Bank’s operations.
We invite you to read the report, which demonstrates how SID Bank, through its activities, contributes to a stable, resilient and sustainability-oriented future of the Slovenian economy.
