On 28 and 29 May 2026, SID Banka hosted the NEFI Permanent Working Group (PWG) meeting in Ljubljana, bringing together representatives of European national promotional banks and partners from across the NEFI network.
The meeting was opened by Borut Jamnik, President of the Management Board of SID Banka, who highlighted the importance of cooperation and exchange of best practices among institutions. He emphasised that NEFI is not only an association of institutions, but above all a community of people who build trust and create value through collaboration.

The first day focused on a workshop addressing key topics, in particular intellectual property (IP) backed financing. Discussions covered European developments, potential cooperation with institutions such as EUIPO, and the Slovenian perspective, including pilot projects and practical case studies.

The second day was dedicated to internal NEFI discussions, where partners shared updates on current activities and addressed topics such as the future development of the network, partnerships, budget, and upcoming meetings.

NEFI PWG meetings represent an important platform for strengthening cooperation among European institutions and fostering the development of innovative financial solutions. As highlighted by Borut Jamnik, the exchange of ideas and perspectives among participants remains one of the most valuable aspects of such gatherings.
